Making age discrimination visible

a+

Age discrimination affects us all – directly or indirectly. It manifests itself not only in overt discrimination, but often in subtle, institutionally entrenched forms. In a recent interview with the Swiss Platform Ageing Society, HLC Co-Director Dr. Christina Röcke explains why political discourse is still heavily influenced by deficit-oriented images of old age, what consequences this has for the social participation of older people, and how a future-oriented aging strategy can counteract this trend. You can read the interview (in German) here.
