Working Group: Age-Open University

hlc

A modern university values the diversity of skills of everyone in society. It enables all individuals to have adequate access to knowledge creation. That is why we are committed to an age-open university.

Our first success: In 2022, UZH was the first and only German-speaking university to be accepted into the Network of Age-Friendly Universities (AFU). In doing so, UZH has committed itself to recognizing and realizing the potential of an age-friendly university and to creating equal quality education and research opportunities across the entire lifespan.

We are committed to ensuring that UZH promotes strategic and intergenerational contact opportunities. This benefits both UZH and society. In research and teaching, it can promote the examination of age-related topics and contribute to a differentiated and holistic view of ageing.
