Why journaling is so beneficial for your health

In a recent article in the newspaper Der Bund, HLC Research Group Leader Dr. Andrea Horn explains why journaling has such positive effects on mental health. Expressive writing is about finding words for emotionally stressful experiences. This process helps you to gain distance from your own experiences and to better understand them. According to Horn, journaling creates a safe space for self-disclosure, where feelings, stressful thoughts, and emotionally challenging topics can find their place.
